Home Sweet Farmhouse

Farmhouse chic is ALL the rage lately and I’m not gunna lie but it is in our home too! I’d have to say our house is a mix of rustic farmhouse which I absolutely love because it’s so comfortable. What I love about this decor too is the greenery, the light woods, the greys, wooden signage, and the the aluminum signs I’ve been seeing around lately.

A lot of our furniture has been handmidowns and stuff that we’ve had for over 8 years which it’s totally okay! And hey it still all matches so that’s all that matters right?!

So you’re probably thinking, where do you even get ideas for your home decor and stores like Hobby Lobby & other home decors give you anxiety! Well, you need to make a Pinterest page first; I’ve linked mine here . I have probably

3 pages of just home decor. When I see something I like and think I can recreate it then i pin it, then when I get to the store I pull up my Pinterest page and look for similar items.

Today in Hobby Lobby I even laid out the pictures I wanted to put on our wall just to see how it would fit. You always want to go to the store with a game plan too and not just wing it; that’s when you’ll end up spending more then you anticipated. Also, try to refresh one or two spaces at a time. If you plan on doing your entire home in one trip, good luck, even I wouldn’t know where to start!!

Something this to plan! Not how I did it exactly but I found this on google and do not take any credit!!

Start small! Do an entry way or powder room or hallway. And then move up to something larger like your kids playroom, your kids room, living room or game room. I also recommend getting larger pieces first like the furniture and then build from there. You need a color palette or a decor style.

I always search Rustic Farmhouse Decor or Rustic living room, Farmhouse powder room; you get the picture. I have a TON of Farmhouse and Rustic pins that have helped me a ton!

Well today I did a thing and went a little shopping. I did only spend $200 and some change but I was very impressed with myself for everything I was able to get! AND hubby even hung everything up right after I came home!

The “Our Nest” sign is new and I moved this wreath here from a different spot!

Clearly our child owns a ton of shoes and this was the cutest storage I could find! I actually need to go through her shoes from ones that don’t fit her anymore.

I’ve been on the hunt for a floor length mirror and Kirkland’s had this mirror for only $109! Seriously I looked all over online and the lowest I could find was $200! You need to go there STAT if your in the market for a floor length mirror!

Slowly our house is getting put together from moving in a little over a year ago! Stay tuned for more farmhouse decor at The Gigliolis!
