Do you love a fun drink for the holidays? I sure do, and this sangria recipe does the trick! I’ve never made homemade sangria before and normally buy the gallon size Carlo Rossi because we are super fancy in our house. I wanted to make my own and did some research on different recipes, this one by far stuck out and with a few tweaks, and it’s seriously some good shit I tell ya!
You will need a big ol’ pitcher to hold all the ingredients below
Holiday Sparkling Sangria Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 bottle prosecco, chilled
- 1 bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon or Sweet Red Blend (if you want a sweeter Sangria)
- 2 cups brandy
- 1 cup cranberry juice
- 1 cup sparkling apple cider
- 1 cup ginger beer
- 1/3 cup simple syrup
- Juice of one orange, freshly squeezed
- Handful of cinnamon sticks
- Fresh rosemary
- Fresh or frozen cranberries
- Two oranges, sliced into rounds
Directions:
- Combine first eight ingredients into a large pitcher and stir well
- Add cinnamon sticks, 1-2 cups cranberries, and orange slices and stir again
- Pour into glasses, garnish with a sprig of fresh rosemary, and enjoy immediately!
